Trust me, I’ve heard all the excuses — and I’ve made a few of them myself in different seasons of life.
But the reality is, life doesn’t always wait until we’re ready.

My family photography sessions are relaxed, natural and fun. There’s no pressure for everyone to stand perfectly, look at the camera and smile on command.
Kids can be kids.
We’ll play, explore, cuddle, laugh and probably embrace a little bit of chaos along the way. I’ll give you direction when you need it, but the goal is to create photographs that actually feel like your family.

We're based in Greymouth, but family sessions can take us all over the West Coast — from Hokitika and South Westland, to Reefton, Westport and further north.
We can head somewhere outdoors that your family loves, keep things relaxed at home, or use our wee studio in the heart of Greymouth.
Whether that means exploring a favourite beach, heading somewhere that holds a bit of meaning for your family, hanging out at home, or keeping things simple in the studio, we'll find somewhere that works for you and your people.
Because one day, these photographs won’t just be pictures of your family.

how it works
Family sessions generally take anywhere from 30–90 minutes, depending on who’s involved and how things are going on the day. We don't watch the clock too closely if the magic is happening!
There’s no limit on family size for outdoor sessions.
In our Greymouth studio, we can comfortably fit up to 4 adults + 3 little ones at a time — for bigger crews, we'll head outdoors.
Before your session, we'll have a planning chat to talk about your family, what you'd love from your photos, what to wear and where we'd like to shoot.
From our wee studio to your home or somewhere outdoors around the West Coast, we'll choose a location that suits your family and battle the West Coast weather if we need to!
Within around two weeks of your session, we'll get together for your viewing and selection appointment. I'll help you choose your favourites and create beautiful printed pieces to show them off properly.

Classic Sessions $195-250
Best for full families, larger groups and when you want time to let the session unfold naturally.
Session fee — $195 weekdays / $250 weekends
Best for families who want more time, variety and flexibility.
- Up to 1 hour, on location, in studio or at home
- Perfect for full families, extended families, grandparents, pets and plenty of different combinations
- Includes $100 credit towards printed products
- Photographs and products are selected separately after your session
- Digital files are not included in the session fee
Mini Session
Best for one child, a couple, a milestone update or when you just need something short and sweet.
$849 — including 5 digital images
Available weekdays only and subject to availability.
Best for babies under one, individual children, couples, announcements, personal branding or a quick family update.

Kids are kids, and I absolutely don't expect them to stand still and smile perfectly at the camera. We'll get silly, run around and work with whatever mood they bring on the day.
The aim is for everyone to have a good time, because happy kids, real personalities and a little bit of chaos usually make for pretty great photos.
Ahhh, the West Coast weather!
I’ll touch base the day before your session and again on the day if things are looking a little questionable. As we all know, the forecast gets it wrong here plenty of the time!
We can chuck on the gumboots and embrace it, switch to a backup indoor location, or if it’s absolutely torrential and everyone is available another day, we can reschedule at no extra cost to you.
A little bit of wild weather can make for some pretty great memories and photos too!
Absolutely! Dogs, cats, horses, birds, chickens, sheep, cows, goats... if they’re part of your family, they deserve to be in the photos too. A few treats and a healthy sense of humour are always recommended!
